How do I deliver my inventory to the warehouse?
Notify us of your delivery in advance and provide a scannable barcode for each item. That way, your inventory will be processed all at once, and you won’t be charged any receiving fees.
Delivering your inventory is done according to standard delivery instructions. The key requirement is that each item has its own scannable barcode and that you notify us of the delivery in advance. If everything is in order, your inventory will be processed in a single batch, and you won’t be charged any receiving fees.
Sign in before sending
You must notify us in advance of a delivery: which items are coming, in what quantities, and when the shipment will arrive. This lets the warehouse know what to expect and allows us to schedule the receipt of the goods. A shipment that arrives unannounced will remain in storage until it is clear where it belongs.
One barcode per item
Each item must be scannable individually. Upon receipt, it is scanned and immediately linked to the correct SKU number, and during picking, that same barcode ensures that the correct item is placed in the box. Especially when dealing with variations in color or size, this is the difference between accurate inventory and manual work.
If possible, have your supplier apply the barcode during production. That's a lot cheaper than applying them one by one afterward.
What Happens Upon Receipt
The shipment is received, counted, and verified against what you reported. The items are then stored in a location and appear in your inventory. From that point on, you can view them in real time in your own Picqer account.
If there is a discrepancy—whether in quantity or item—we’ll look into it first. After all, your inventory is only accurate when both sides agree.
How much it costs
If you submit your materials according to the instructions, no processing fees will be charged. If a barcode is missing or the submission does not comply with the instructions, any additional work may be billed at the applicable rate. There are no storage fees.
Shelf Life and Batches
If your inventory includes expiration dates or batch numbers, please indicate this upon delivery. This information will be recorded so that items can be picked in the correct order and you can track which batch went where.
With your first delivery
Review the submission instructions before scheduling your first shipment, and start with a smaller shipment rather than sending your entire inventory all at once. This way, you’ll spot any gaps in your product data while they’re still easy to fix.
Then refill
Be sure to report any subsequent deliveries as well. If you order directly from your supplier, have them ship the items directly to the warehouse instead of through you. This saves you one reloading, one counting, and a few days of processing time, and your inventory will be available for sale in your account faster.
