How do I send my inventory to the warehouse?

Announce before you ship

You announce a delivery in advance: which items are arriving, in what quantities, and when the shipment will be there. This lets the warehouse know what to expect and allows us to schedule the receipt. A shipment that arrives unannounced will be put aside until it is clear what it belongs to.

One barcode per item

Each item must be individually scannable. Upon receipt, it is scanned and immediately linked to the correct SKU number, and during picking, that same barcode ensures the right item goes into the box. Especially with color or size variants, this makes the difference between accurate inventory and manual guesswork.

Have your supplier apply the barcode during production if possible. That is a lot cheaper than applying them one by one afterwards.

What happens upon receipt

De zending wordt aangenomen, geteld en gecontroleerd tegen wat je hebt aangemeld. Daarna gaan de artikelen op een locatie en verschijnen ze in je voorraadstand. Vanaf dat moment zie je ze realtime in je eigen Picqer-account.

If anything differs in number or item type, this will be investigated first. Your inventory is only accurate when both sides match.

What it costs

If you deliver according to the instructions, no inbound processing fees are charged. If a barcode is missing or the delivery deviates from the guidelines, the extra handling may be billed at the applicable rate. There are no storage costs.

Expiration dates and batches

Heeft je assortiment houdbaarheidsdata of batchnummers, meld dat dan bij de aanlevering. Die gegevens worden geregistreerd, zodat er in de juiste volgorde gepickt kan worden en je kunt herleiden welke batch waarheen is gegaan.

With your first delivery

Review the delivery instructions before scheduling your first shipment, and it is best to start with a smaller delivery rather than your entire inventory all at once. This helps you spot gaps in your product data while they are still easy to fix.

Restocking afterward

Later deliveries must also be registered in advance. If you order directly from your supplier, have them deliver straight to the warehouse instead of going through you. This saves an extra transfer, an extra count, and a few days of lead time, allowing your inventory to be ready for sale in your account much faster.
