How does the integration between your online store and the fulfillment operation work?
Orders are automatically received after the integration is set up, without the need for daily exports. You keep your own online store; only order data is exchanged between the two systems.
Once the integration is set up, orders are automatically imported into the fulfillment system. You no longer have to export and import files every day, and you no longer run the risk of forgetting to export data on a busy evening.
Why manual scaling doesn't work
With five orders a day, exporting takes just a minute. With five hundred, it’s a full day’s work with an increasing risk of errors—and it also determines your cutoff: the warehouse can’t start until you’ve exported the data. An integration eliminates that bottleneck.
What Happens When You Place an Order
Your customer completes the checkout process in your online store. The order is forwarded to the fulfillment center, along with the items, quantities, delivery address, and selected shipping method. There, the order is processed, picked, packed, and shipped, and the status is updated accordingly.
You run your own online store
This is the most common misconception: you don’t have to switch to a different platform or storefront. The integration simply transfers order data—that’s all. Everything your customer interacts with remains exactly the same.
What software powers it
Cenfil uses Picqer as its warehouse management software for warehouse operations. In addition, there is a Cenfil dashboard that looks beyond the warehouse and allows you to view the status of your orders across all carriers in one place.
What you can see for yourself
You'll get your own account where you can track your inventory and orders in real time. For each item, you'll see what's in stock, and for each order, you'll see whether it has been picked, packed, and shipped. This means you won't have to rely on an email with a summary.
How the connection is established
First, we’ll take a look at your current setup: which platform you’re using and how your order flow currently works. Then, we’ll set up the integration and test it with a test order, so you can verify that everything is working correctly before real customer orders go through it.
What You Need to Take Care of in Advance
An integration is only as reliable as the data that flows through it. Unique product codes, a separate barcode for each variant, and shipping methods with the same names on both sides—that’s what causes problems in practice, not the technology itself.
When the connection fails
An order that doesn't go through is almost never due to a system error, but rather because the item is unknown on one end. If you add a new product to your online store, be sure to register it with the warehouse as well. If you don't, that order will be put on hold while the rest continue to process normally.
